Team Manager Colin Wright explained: “On Monday I learnt that Kyle would not be racing as he was without a bike, and we decide to offer him the chance to use our R6.

“He’s a talented young rider and we didn’t like the idea he had no ride while we had a spare bike. We’ll be offering him as much help as we can, while also continuing our efforts with Tom Neave on the Superbike and Tom Ward in Superstock 1000.”

Ryde, of Nottingham, was surprised but delighted to get the call. “After last weekend the last thing I expected was to be racing at Oulton, so I was amazed to hear from Colin,” he said.

“I’m really grateful for the opportunity and I hope we can have a really good weekend. I plan to be fighting up at the front – I’m certainly not going there to just make up the numbers.”

Tom Neave is also looking forward to Oulton Park. “I’m very pleased to be given another chance to ride the Movuno.com Halsall Racing Suzuki,” he said. “Silverstone was great but I had a lot to learn, so to get a second chance is fantastic.

“I’m confident that now I’ve had some time on the bike I can push harder this time and get higher up the order. I’m hoping for a good qualifying and then will be aiming for some good points on Sunday.”

And the team’s Superstock 1000 pilot Tom Ward is just as excited. “Silverstone was possibly my worst round so far and I just want to put that behind me and move on,” he said.

“I want to enjoy Oulton Park. It’s a track where anything can happen, but with the season drawing to a close soon, I want to end it on a high so will be going all out to get a good result here.”
